Jim Fortune was commissioned in 2011
to design the vertical transportation
equipment in the world's next
supertall, Kingdom Tower, to be built in
Jeddah, KSA. The Tower is planned to
have 163 stories, while soaring to over
1000m.

Kingdom Tower will be Jim's fourth
"world’s tallest tower" following his
previous engagements for the Burj
Khalifa, ICC & Taipei 101.  

Kingdom Tower will be a multi-use,
supertall tower, with a total
construction area of 530,000
square meters. The building will
contain a five star hotel, serviced
apartments, Class A office space, luxury
condominiums, and the world’s highest
observatory levels.
